Many MTN users are wondering why they are yet to receive a successful verification message after linking their National Identification Number NIN to their Mobile line.
This has put fear in the mind of many mobile line users as the deadline date for linking of NIN and mobile line is getting closer while they are yet to know their verification and linking status even after doing the neccesary things concerning the linking.
To answer this question in the mind of many users, the MTN Nigeria Support through their official Twitter page has given answer to this question saying that the NIN you submitted to them is subjected to verification by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and that further information on your verification status shall be send to you once received by the NIMC.
This implies that the delay you are having in knowing your verification status is because your network provider is yet to receive response from the NIMC and you will receive message concerning your status once the NIMC gets back to your network provider.
So put your mind at rest once you have done your part of linkingï¿¼ your Sim cards to your NIN. You can't be affected by the deadline date since you have done the neccesary thing. Leave the verification for your network provider and the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
