  • Squad Previews: Facing Chelsea, will Arteta be SACKED on Boxing Day?

Hey! Merry Christmas! 2020 is finally coming to an end! Another football weekend is here to enjoy! Can’t wait to see what will happen this week so let's have a quick look with Squad!

There is no winter break for the Premier League this season because of fixture congestion, with all matches over Christmas and New Year televised by the BBC, Sky Sports, BT Sport or Amazon Prime, etc.

In all, there are 20 Premier League games that would be played between Christmas Day and New Year's Day!

Manchester City, Chelsea, Everton and Crystal Palace have the shortest recovery times to contend with, as all four clubs would face two matches in 48 hours. Wolves would be having an extra 45 minutes. Manchester United, Liverpool, Southampton and Arsenal also have more than three days between their two games.

Arsenal welcomes Chelsea to the Emirates on Boxing Day as the Gunners are in for some real trouble while Arteta's job is hanging in the balance.

Will Arteta be sacked if Arsenal loses the game? Tell your thoughts by tapping here in Squad.

    Probable Lineups

    Team News

Things are going from bad to worse for Arsenal after Tuesday's 4-1 cup quarter-final exit to Manchester City. There are now concerns Arsenal could be dragged into a relegation dog fight following a run of no wins in seven of their Premier League. They head into the Boxing Day round of fixtures three places and four points above the bottom three.

Chelsea ended a two-game losing streak with a 3-0 win over West Ham on Monday, though the performance wasn't great despite the emphatic scoreline. They haven't found the Emirates as comfortable a ground as they have previously but head into Saturday as heavy favourites.

    Match Facts

Arsenal have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 4 matches against Chelsea in all competitions.

Arsenal have failed to win their last 7 matches (Premier League).

    Leicester vs Manchester United

    Kick off: 13:30

    Date: Sat, 26-Dec-20

    Probable Lineups

    Team News

Leicester have won four of their last five to catapult themselves back into the top four but their best performances have come on the road this season. The Foxes have lost more games (4) than they have won (3) at home with no draws.

Like Leicester, Manchester United have been flying away from home soil. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have remarkably won all six of their Premier League away matches, scoring at least 3 goals in each, coming from behind in every one. Stretching back to last season, United have won 10 in a row in the league away from home.

Aside from Leicester's crazy 5-3 win over United back in 2014, the Foxes generally have a very poor record against the Red Devils. That victory is their only one in this century (21 attempts). United have won the last four.

    Match Facts

Man Utd have won their last 10 away matches (Premier League).

Man Utd have scored at least 3 goals in their last 6 away matches (Premier League).

Man Utd have won 8 of their last 9 matches against Leicester in all competitions.

There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Man Utd's last 6 away games (Premier League).

Man Utd have kept a clean sheet in 5 of their last 7 matches against Leicester in all competitions.

Leicester have seen under 2.5 goals in their last 3 matches against Man Utd in all competitions.

    Prediction by Squad

    Leicester 1-3 Man Utd

    Liverpool vs West Bromwich Albion

    Kick off: 16:30

    Date: Sun, 27-Dec-20

    Probable Lineups

    Team News

Liverpool moved four points clear of the chasing pack at the top of the table with a resounding 7-0 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday. The Reds are the only side to have won every home league game this season and will be confident of continuing their fine home run at West Brom's expense.

Sam Allardyce endured a poor start to life as West Brom boss and the difficulty doesn't let up when the Baggies make the trip to Anfield. The Baggies are one of two teams yet to win an away league match this season.

Allardyce was the last manager to come away from Anfield with all three points back in 2017 as his Crystal Palace side secured a 2-1 win. He'd love nothing more than a repeat on Sunday, but Liverpool should make light work of the Baggies.

    Match Facts

Liverpool are undefeated in their last 45 home matches (Premier League).

There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Liverpool's last 8 home games (Premier League).

Liverpool have scored at least 2 goals in their last 8 home matches (Premier League)

West Brom have failed to win 13 of their last 14 matches (Premier League).

Liverpool have seen over 2.5 goals in 5 of their last 6 home matches against West Brom in all competitions.

There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 5 of West Brom's last 6 away games (Premier League).

Liverpool have scored at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 home matches against West Brom in all competitions.

Liverpool are undefeated in 10 of their last 11 matches against West Brom in all competitions.

    Prediction by Squad

    Liverpool 4-0 West Brom

    Manchester City vs Newcastle United

    Kick off: 20:00

    Date: Sat, 26-Dec-20

    Probable Lineups

    Team News

Manchester City breezed into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup with a 4-1 win at Arsenal on Tuesday night to extend their unbeaten run to nine matches. Their home record against Newcastle is impressive to say the least, too, with City winning each of their last five league meetings with the Magpies at the Etihad.

Conversely, Newcastle saw their winless run extended to three matches in midweek as they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Championship side Brentford. The Magpies have lost back-to-back away matches, and three of their last four on the road, so the trip to City is hardly ideal.

City have conceded just one goal in their last five league matches, that a Ruben Dias own goal, and given their superb home record, they should make light work of Newcastle on Boxing Day.

    Match Facts

Man City have won 11 of their last 12 home matches against Newcastle in all competitions.

Man City have seen over 2.5 goals in 11 of their last 12 home matches against Newcastle in all competitions.

There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 10 of Man City's last 11 games (Premier League).

Man City have scored at least 2 goals in 11 of their last 12 home matches against Newcastle in all competitions.

Man City are undefeated in 16 of their last 17 home matches (Premier League).

    Prediction by Squad

    Man City 3-0 Newcastle

    Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Tottenham

    Kick off: 19:15

    Date: Sun, 27-Dec-20

    Probable Lineups

    Team News

Wolves fell to their third loss in their last four at Burnley on Monday night to leave them 11th in the table. However, they have lost just one of their last six at Molineux.

Tottenham secured the spot in the semi final of the Carabao Cup with a 3-1 win at Stoke on Wednesday night. Their record at Wolves is also solid, with Spurs winning their last three visits to the Midlands.

The away team has come out on top in five of the last six games between these two and it wouldn't be a shock to see that run continue on Sunday night.

    Match Facts

Wolves have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 4 matches against Tottenham in all competitions.

There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 6 of Tottenham's last 7 games (Premier League).

Tottenham have won their last 3 away matches against Wolves in all competitions.

Tottenham have scored at least 2 goals in their last 4 away matches against Wolves in all competitions.

    Prediction by Squad

    Wolves 0-1 Tottenham
