The critical regulation of the body's salt, potassium and acid content is performed by the kidneys. The kidneys also produce hormones that affect the function of other essential organs. For example, a hormone produced by the kidneys stimulates red blood cell production in human body system. Other hormones produced by the kidneys help regulate blood pressure and control calcium metabolism as well.
There is no one that can live long without the present of two healthy kidneys.
The kidneys are powerful chemical factories that perform the following functions in your body:
1. Your kidney remove waste products from your body

3. Your kidney balance your body's fluids
4. Your kidney is responsible for the release of hormones that regulate your blood pressure
5. Your kidney produce an active form of vitamin D that promotes strong, healthy bones in your body system.
6. Your kidney control the production of red blood cells in your body.
The kidneys perform their life-sustaining job of filtering and returning to the bloodstream about 200 quarts of fluid every 24 hours. About two quarts are removed from the body in the form of urine, and about 198 quarts are recovered. The urine we excrete today has been stored in the bladder for anywhere from 1 to 8 hours.

Years pass by and our kidneys are filtering the blood by removing salt, poison and any unwanted entering our body.
With time, the salt accumulates and this needs to undergo cleaning treatments and how are we going to overcome this? It's by avoiding these 3 things.
Stop Taking Too Much Beer
Drinking alcohol can affect many vital parts of your body, including your kidneys. Although A little intake of beer like —one or two drinks bottles usually has no serious effects on the kidney. But drinking too much can harm your health. It can also worsen kidney disease.

And according to the American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP), studies have shown that smoking is harmful for the kidneys, and can cause kidney disease to progress and increases the risk for proteinuria (excessive amount of protein in the urine).
When you smoke excessively it lead to chronic kidney disease and it can also increase your blood pressure and diabetes. The major factors of that triggers kidney disease.
Stop Too Much Sugar Intake
Diabetes and high blood pressure is mostly caused by too much sugar in the body. And they are very harmful to the kidneys.
Once the blood sugar level gets higher than 180 mg/dl, the kidneys start to spill sugar into the urine. The higher the blood sugar, the more sugar comes out in the urine. If your kidneys are normal, this usually isn't a problem, but if you have diabetes, too much sugar can cause kidney damage.
A high level of sugar in your blood can cause problems in many parts of your body, including your heart, kidneys, eyes, and brain. Over time, this can lead to kidney disease and kidney failure.
Please if you want to live long, then you have to reduce your sugar level intake.
