Reacting to a statement made by former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, on how divided the country is under President Muhammadu Buhari, the office of the President has fired back, saying that Nigeria is collapsing forward under the Buhari-led administration.
Femi Adesina, the Presidentâs Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, said this in response to a remark made by the former President, Obasanjo.
Faulting Obasanjoâs remark, Adesina said Nigeria was collapsing forward under Buhari in a forward trajectory.
Adesina stated this in an article posted on Facebook titled: âYES, NIGERIA IS COLLAPSING FORWARD.â
Adesina said: âThe former President says the country is collapsing. I agree. Nigeria is collapsing forward. In diverse ways, under President Muhammadu Buhari, the collapse is in a forward trajectory, despite all the odds.â
âChief Obasanjo talked about the mismanagement of our diversity, saying it is leading to collapse. True? False. Nigeria, since 1914, had been an uneasy Federation.â
The former president, in recent time, has been very vocal about the present administration, speaking at an event in Abuja, Obasanjo had said Nigeria needed to be rescued from the brink of collapse, adding that the country was more divided and becoming a basket case under the Buhari-led administration.
