• Once you see your child displaying these signs, know that they are being abused/Molested
  • Have you ever wondered if your child is being molested or abused in whatever way by anyone? Have you just stared at your little baby and not be certain if they are safe? Well, I'm here to tell you things you should look out for in order to know if they are being abused or not. As a male and also an abused victim, I'm here to tell you that male children also get abused. So don't just focus your attention on your female Child, your male child might be going through alot right under your nose and you wouldn't know. Pedophiles are everywhere these days, everyday news have proved it. They come in different personalities, in form of uncles, aunties, neighbors, pastors, house helps, teachers and so on. These are people who we've entrust our kids with and they may choose to abuse or molest them. For the safety of your kids, check these things out. Note: these are signs are not proof that they are being abused, these are indicators. The only way to be sure is to ask them. And while doing it, apply care and no pressure at all. Make them feel safe talking to you before you ask them what's going on. They may have been threatened and only if they feel safe and are sure you'll protect them, that's the only time they'll open up to you. 1) A sudden change of behavior Imagine a once happy child changes all of a sudden to become either very conservative or very wild. Children react to the pain and trauma of abuse in two ways; either they create a safe shell in their heads and become introverted, or they begin to grow up fast, gaining anger issues and becoming wild. Once you notice a sudden change in the behavior of your kids, it's a sign of being abused. 2) sudden change in walking step Abuse especially on kids who are still underage can cause serious damage to their genitals which is directly linked to the nerve supply of their lower limbs, hence a obvious change in the way the walk or move, or even sit down. Watch out for These signs. 3) they become easily irritated Kids that are being abused become easily irritated by things that do not irritate them before. They also become hypersensitive to certain things, food e.t.c. For example, when ever you as their parents or any stranger wants to carry them or lap them, they either refused or begin to cry. This is also a sign. 4) Change in Bathroom behavior Normally, tour underage kids are supposed to be free with you bathing them, but once they are being abused, they subconsciously become aware of their bodies and may become shy in the process. They also may want to hide the obvious scars of the abuse, hence they may not want you to bath them again, or may not want you washing their private parts. This is also a sign. 5) Monitor their behavior around certain suspicious people If they are always scared of a particular family friend, neighbor, cousin and so on for no reason, you should investigate the problem especially when the person in question is always trying to be nice to your kid. 6) Having unnecessary Gifts If your child is always having gifts and you can't say where he or her got it from, or money that you never gave him or her, then you should be suspicious too. These pedophiles could give them gifts as bribe for them not to talk to Anyone. Always make sure your kids understand that they don't have to take things from people, as they may use it to lure them. In summary, always form a strong bond of communication with your kids. This is very important. Talk to them with love and respect and always assure them that they can always come to you if they need help. This would make your parenting Job easy.
